Oppn gave crime, corruption, militancy

When the country is on the path of progress, the opposition is increasing people's sufferings, prime minister Sheikh Hasina says.
Speaking at a meeting with the local leaders of Awami League in Narayanganj on Saturday, she said, "When the country is heading towards development, they are increasing people's sufferings by observing hartals."
"They did not give the nation anything but crime, corruption and militancy," she added.
Earlier in the day, Hasina inaugurated two power plants at Meghnaghat Bidyut Palli, an Orion Group venture with the capacity to produce 100 MW, and another of Everest Power Generation Company Limited with 25.17 MW capacity. Speaking at a meeting with the local leaders of Awami League in Narayanganj on Saturday, she said, "When the country is heading towards development, they are increasing people's sufferings by observing hartals."
"They did not give the nation anything but crime, corruption and militancy," she added.
She also laid foundation stone for a 335MW power plant of Summit Group in the area.
The prime minister said, "The four-party alliance government could not raise power production by a single megawatt. We added 1,922 MW to the national grid. Our government is the first to permit private companies to build power plants."
