India and rival Pakistan routinely test-fire missiles, but usually notify each other ahead of time in keeping with an agreement between the two nations.
Earlier this week, a global think tank said India and Pakistan continue to develop new ballistic and cruise missile systems capable of delivering nuclear weapons and have added 20-30 nuclear warheads apiece to their arsenals in the past year.
