Gadhafi vows a fight to the death in Libya
Gadhafi's voice was broadcast on Libyan TV barely an hour after the last of some 30 NATO strikes pounded the capital in rare daylight attacks.
He vowed "We will not kneel" and "We will not surrender!"
Original posting: In rare daytime strikes on the Libyan capital, low-flying NATO military craft hit Tripoli in 11 successive attacks today, the Associated Press reports.
The BBC reports that huge explosions rocked the capital, some strikes hitting close to the compound of besieged Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.
On the diplomatic front, Russia and China have sent top diplomats for the first time to the rebel stronghold of Benghazi in an attempt to mediate an end to the four-month-long conflict.
"We have come to Benghazi to facilitate dialogue between the two camps," says Russia's Africa envoy, Mikhail Margelov, according to the BBC.
