Dhaka, June 7(UNI) - Indian Foreign Secretary Ms. Nirupama Rao leads the Indian side at the Foreign Secretary level consultations being held here today with Foreign Secretary Mohamed Mijarul Quayes.
The two Foreign Secretaries are expected to take stock of the progress of implementation of decisions taken during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India in January last year and chart out the way forward.
The issues including sharing of water of the Teesta and Feni rivers, 6.5 kilometers of border demarcation, transfer of enclaves and adversely possessed lands, trade imbalance and transit are expected to figure during the consultations.
The two sides are also likely to discuss further expanding the areas of bilateral, regional and sub-regional cooperation for mutual benefit.
Ms Rao will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dipu Moni Tuesday afternoon.
